The “Super Duper” Card

The “Super Duper” Card

So, a friend commissioned me to make a “super duper” kids card.  I tried to tell him “Dude!  It’s not like I’m holding out on you with all my other cards!”  I really do try my best for every card I make and if those aren’t good enough…  But this particular person likes to challenge me!  🙂  Here’s the card I made for him.  It’s probably not as super duper as it potentially could have been but I was having paper problems!  The windwheels spin and everything!  😛

September Team Meeting Preparation

September Team Meeting Preparation

Well, in the process of preparing for tonight’s Canadian’s Ink team meeting, I made some cards to bring with me!  I think I also solved the problem of making a super pink card for a friend’s niece who is 4 years old and apparently LOVES pink!  Mission accomplished!  I think you’ll be able to figure out which one I’m talking about!  🙂

New Cards

New Cards

I hope to create some new cards of all types over the coming days.  I have finished all my charity cross-stitches, which I’m thrilled about.  They are almost completely out of the door as well.  I’ve also finished my quilt top.  Just need to work on putting the whole thing together so in about a year, I might actually have something to show you.

But all this means is that I’ll actually have some time to focus on my stamping and card making.  You have no idea how excited I am about that!  In the meantime, I’m going to show you my cross-stitches and one made-t0-order pink baby cards that I worked on not too long ago.

Thank you so much to my friend, Vickie, who did the majority of the stitching on the Plants vs Zombies project.  I was out of commission for a while and she gallantly took up the slack to make sure the stitches would be finished on time and off to the quilt-makers!

It’s a shame I didn’t have my lightbox ready for when I took these pictures!  Ah well, they will have to do!  🙂

Lightbox!

Lightbox!

Charles made me a new lightbox today!  I was so excited that I had to celebrate by making 38 Christmas cards and taking pictures of them!!  🙂  I wanted to get an early start this year because the holidays always seem to creep up on me and I’m just so unprepared most years.  Here are some samples of the cards I made this weekend!  I went a little rub-on crazy…  Can I say how excited I am that my pictures are not blurry for the first time in, like, forever!?  Thanks to Caroline Lebel for a lot of the great ideas!

I’ll also be adding a Christmas Card section to my inventory list!  🙂
