Girly Birthday Cards!

Girly Birthday Cards!

I was asked to make a birthday card for a one-year old girly girl.  What in the world kind of card can you make for that?  I just went with the girly girl part and ran with it!

Here’s what I came up with.  Thanks to Christyne Richardson for the inspiration on the first card and I do believe the design for the last one came from Mary Fish!  🙂

I was also commissioned to create baby shower invitations for a friend’s upcoming baby shower.  Lots of ideas later, I came up with the following samples.  Sorry about the really bad quality!  I had to take them with my camera phone!  I couldn’t figure out which colour combination would be best for the second card so I sent them all along.  In the end, the party planner decided to go with the last option and 45 invitation later, I’m finally finished!  🙂  I wish I had thought of taking pictures of the final product before sending them off.  Ah well.  First big commission done and trust me, a lot of lessons learned!!

I’ve been trying very hard over the last couple of days to get my craft room cleaned up.  It was a bit of a disaster but after a few solid days of moving things around and trying to find a place for things, whether in the craft room or somewhere else, I think it’s all coming together!  Hopefully soon I’ll even be able to start creating in there too!  I’ll post some before and after pictures when I finally get it all settled!
