I was asked to make a birthday card for a one-year old girly girl. Â What in the world kind of card can you make for that? Â I just went with the girly girl part and ran with it!
Here’s what I came up with. Â Thanks to Christyne Richardson for the inspiration on the first card and I do believe the design for the last one came from Mary Fish! Â 🙂
I was also commissioned to create baby shower invitations for a friend’s upcoming baby shower. Â Lots of ideas later, I came up with the following samples. Â Sorry about the really bad quality! Â I had to take them with my camera phone! Â I couldn’t figure out which colour combination would be best for the second card so I sent them all along. Â In the end, the party planner decided to go with the last option and 45 invitation later, I’m finally finished! Â 🙂 Â I wish I had thought of taking pictures of the final product before sending them off. Â Ah well. Â First big commission done and trust me, a lot of lessons learned!!
I’ve been trying very hard over the last couple of days to get my craft room cleaned up. Â It was a bit of a disaster but after a few solid days of moving things around and trying to find a place for things, whether in the craft room or somewhere else, I think it’s all coming together! Â Hopefully soon I’ll even be able to start creating in there too! Â I’ll post some before and after pictures when I finally get it all settled!
