This year I’m participating in a Canada-wide card swap! This swap is open to any demonstrators throughout the entire country! All of the stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up catalogue have been divided into groups with 15-20 other stamp sets. I picked 3 stamp sets from different groups which means I had to make 17 Doily cards, 17 Blast Off cards and 15 Snow Much Fun cards but I will receive cards using 49 other stamp sets in the catalogue ! This means lots and lots of new ideas using stamp sets I wouldn’t necessarily have considered before! My cards were mailed off a few weeks ago and were received by the swap organizer in Manitoba last week! I can’t wait to share all of my card swaps with you in a couple of weeks. For now you will have to deal with just seeing mine! 🙂
My first card was using the set Blast Off! Such an adorable set! I made extras of this one because I liked it so much! The cards I made for my inventory box has cute little shiny stars on it though! Couldn’t add them to the swap card because they were too hard to cut out!! 🙂
My next card used Delicate Doilies. Thanks so much to fellow demonstrator Julie Leblanc for the layout and inspiration of this next card! I had to add a little extra by popping up the middle doily and adding some pearls!
Finally, we have Snow Much Fun with a little bit of sparkle!
Well, I’ve done it! I have created a facebook page dedicated to my business! 🙂 Like my page, if you can. It’s Stamps and Stitches by Crafty Lindsay!
I have loads of projects to share with you so keep posted and there will be new cards coming up!
Oh, and I’ve been working on my inventory and other than my brand new cards coming up, I think everything is posted!
I also created the fancy dancy knitting and cross-stitch sections to the site! WOOO!
I’ll also have to tell you all about Stampin’ Up’s Hamilton Regionals event!
Thanks to Genevieve at Stampin4Fun, I was able to get some inspiration for my friend’s birthday. Last night I had to create a card for today and well, I had zero ideas. So I picked a stamp set and went to town! Here’s the result! The front is CASEd from Genevieve, the inside is all me (with a little bit of Christyne Richardson wearing off on me)! 🙂
Over the next few days or weeks, I’m going to take a journey with this blog and my business. It all started with a change in my domain name. Now instead of people trying to remember http://lindsay.bluh.org, since it is very random, they will only have to remember CraftyLindsay.com. Much more catchy, isn’t it? 🙂
Today being a happy holiday Monday, I decided to make good use of it and get something done that I’ve been meaning to do for months and months. And that was to take pictures of every single card I have in my actual inventory. Accomplished! The second step was to get them all resized so they could be posted. Accomplished! Now, I have to post all of these cards. That may take some time! 🙂 My goal is to have two inventories. One listing all the cards I currently have made and are ready to sell at a moment’s notice. The second inventory is a listing of all the cards I have made and can make again. These I wouldn’t have readily available but upon request, I could make them up.
Along with all the blog changes, I also want to order myself some business cards and become all official and stuff! But that means thinking up a business name of sorts. I’ve been pretty stuck on this one. I made a list a few days ago and vetted it around my friends but there was no consensus. I think I have to go back to the drawing board on that one.
Anyway, stayed tuned, dear reader and there will be many more posts to come! Promise!
