As I prepare for the Stampin’ Up! Convention in just a mere 3 weeks, there’s so much to do! Â I’ve signed up for two organized card swaps, which means 35 super (hopoefully pretty) cards and then more and more cards for my general swapping. Â Right now I have 60 cards made for general swapping. Â I would like to make another 20-40 but we’ll have to see if I can come up with any other ideas! Â So far, the card making has taken over the house. Â I have supplies all over the craft room, the dining room table and now the coffee table in the living room! Â How the husband puts up with me, I’ll never know.
At the same time, I’ve also been knitting. Â I finished my little birdie and sold it before I thought to take a picture. Â Yay me… Â Right now I’m thinking about what I’m going to make for my Convention roomies. Â Am I going to knit, papercraft, cross-stitch, what?
Finally, I’m also participating in the monthly challenge of the main geek crafting forums that I love, www.spritestitch.com. Â This month’s challenge is a video game logo/symbol colouring book. We were given outlines of a number of objects and we had to decide how we were going to colour them in. Â We could use any form of medium but I chose cross-stitch. Â This is the Aperture Science logo from Portal and I made it into a colour wheel! Â I just love the colours. Â It was so fun to make!
Wish me luck with all the rest!
Happy sunny June everyone!
I hope you’ve been enjoying the weather, especially today, like I have. Â The last few days we’ve had some rain but today, oh, it was glorious!
Just a little update on what I’ve been doing. Â I’ve made lots more monsters and owls over the last couple of weeks. Â I’ve posted some more recent ones on my facebook page (Stamps and Stitches by Crafty Lindsay) if you would like to see them. Â I’ve also started knitting little birdies! Â I don’t have a fully completed one yet but there are several in various stages of development laying around the house until I can figure out how to properly make a beak! Â Who knew that I would have to try a dozen times to get it right?
Soon I’ll also be trying my hand a crocheting – something I haven’t done since I was 7 years old. Â But I have the yarn and the pattern. Â All I need is to learn how! Â But can you guess what I’ll be crocheting first? Â Yep, more monsters!! Â 🙂 Â I’m not sure what’s come over me recently with the monsters. Â I also have a pattern for the cutest goldfish so you can expect a lot more plushies coming from me! Â And if you’re interested in anything I’ve made and want to add it to your own collection, please do let me know!
Right now, I am writing this as I’m waiting for the oven timer to buzz. Â I’m in a baking panic tonight! Â I’m organizing a book/bake sale at my work so I have lots on the go. Just to give you an idea…I’ve made the brownies. Â The double chocolate cookies are in the oven. Â The chocolate chip cookie dough is made. Â And I still have the cupcakes to start.
Oh, and tonight, I REALLY need to make an anniversary card for the husband. Â The anniversary just so happens to be tomorrow. Â Don’t you love procrastination?
